That's a beautiful spot, Hawkeyes. "....just embrace it." I think that's an important concept, briefly stated. If you want to experience a little of life in the early days, you need to accept some of the 'bad' along with the good. How else will you know what was normal for them? I hunted turkeys for several years on a property which had a stream I had to wade across on foot, going and coming. Since I usually dressed colonial, starting the hunt with cold, wet feet got to be just normal, and I learned something from it. It was just part of the hunt, not a problem, so much so that when I dressed modern for the hunt with rubber boots which kept my feet dry, I felt something wasn't just right, and thought maybe I needed to pour some of that cold water in my boots.
