Panko has been suggested as well. Getting off the main topic further, but more on this subject,,, Has anyone tried, or heard of trying, rice crackers? Crush them up in a plastic bag and use like bread-crumbs? Might be a good non-wheat/corn option. (I see corn meal/flour as a lesser evil than wheat and rice as a lesser evil than wheat or corn, probably wrong) And, if one used them from one of those mixes where they have a lot of them flavored with tobacco or Wasabi, they are preseasoned.

I don't know that I would try it on these, but maybe for fried fish or chicken cutlets?

What would be the advantage of that?
