I've also begun the journey of knapping. Something I've dabbled in but never consistently worked on. This is my first arrowhead in many years from a small shard of flint. Plan on halfting this into the arrow. Not perfect, much to learn but razor sharp and will do the job. free picture hosting site

Are you using copper or antler for the fine flaking? Did you heat-treat the flint?

Are you using copper or antler for the fine flaking? Did you heat-treat the flint? I have both copper and antler tools. The precision flaker I use most is made from an old awl. Made an ishi stick and a larger copper flaker yesterday. Believe it is, flakes and knaps like it it.

My various knapping implements, everything I've made or sourced (copper). The copper boppers are all lead filled. Just melted numerous roundballs until I was satisfied with the weight. My abo tools are burried in there. csv remove duplicates online
