Here's the first pair of moccasins I made, about 30 years ago, before I learned the term pucker-toe, but I guess that's what they are. My second and last pair of summer moccasins and the ones I've put a lot of wear on in the last 25 years. Some white man influence in these, notice the top/center seam is welted. I've never tried using leather laces to make a pair. Spence

That's wrong, they aren't. I watched a video by Stillwater Woodcraft and got a good look at the moccasins Steve was wearing. They were real pucker toe and not at all what I made. I watched his video on making them, too, and I see mine are not pucker toe but plain center seam, just poorly done so the center seam was very crooked.
I'm surprised no one called me on that bad info. Keep your eye on me, I'll probably do it again.

Are used artificial sinew but I think next time I might just use leather. Then I could wrap the excess from the front and back seems around my ankle and tie it off.
