Does anyone have any info on the so-called "Guilford Courthouse" bag reproduced in the link below? I can't seem to find anything on the original. I was hoping to make something similar, but could use more info, dimensions, etc. contemporarymakers.blogspot.com/?m=1 |

Click on the picture and a new page will come up which has a place for comments. Maybe you can get a response from the guy who made the copy.

Stupid question... I've came across that blog website, what the heck is it's actual purpose? It's actually a good question. I used to think it was a place for artisans to "showcase" (aka advertise) their work. However, over time it seems to have morphed into a bit of a "grab bag." There are almost never any comments posted, let alone discussion of the items. I have yet to have any of my comments answered (even ones reviewed and "approved" by the moderator). That said, occasionally items that interest me appear, so I check it periodically. |

Stupid question... I've came across that blog website, what the heck is it's actual purpose? Actually a very good question. It often leaves me wanting more info when I'm directed there by a post elsewhere, usually the ALR. Sometimes there is a bunch of good info on the piece pictured, and, even more rare occasionally there is some good info on an original piece that an artisan has copied or been influenced by. But, all too often it is just a picture or two and, "so and so made this." These posts make me wonder if there is a point to it. Edited to add: Haha ha, Paranger is a faster typist than I. |

Lots of neat stuff and excellent craftsmanship there - however, I can't confirm the items produced are PC. Some do appear to be inspired by period pieces or this is stated outright by the poster...
