Gus,
Yes, you should definitely come check it out. Our 2nd annual Market Faire will be in mid to late June (not sure we have set a date as yet, but I will post when I hear one). Likewise, when the 2022 event calendar is finalized, there will likely be at least 2 or 3 other events (timing TBD). Stay tuned!

... BTW, I will DEFINITELY be visiting Fort Loudoun next year, by hook or crook, if need be. I've been wanting to do this since passing by many times decades ago and I'm finally going to get it done. I've been wanting to do the Grand Tour of Fort Loudoun, Fort Necessity, Fort Pitt and Braddock's defeat. Not sure yet if it will be in conjuncture with around the time of the replacement Dixon's Gunmaker's Faire, though I'm thinking I probably should do the latter as a separate event. If possible, I would love to visit Fort Loudoun when they have a big FIW event. Do you have any recommendations? Gus Wondering what it would cost for a few of us to get a tour bus? If any of us can come down there someday, will you give us a personal tour? I should think it would be worth a good supper and libations, though I stopped imbibing decades ago. Don't mind others drinking around me at all, though. GRIN! Gus

Likewise, when the 2022 event calendar is finalized, there will likely be at least 2 or 3 other events (timing TBD). Stay tuned! That sounds PERFECT as I was just speaking with my "Official Chauffeur" about it a few minutes ago when she happened to stop by to hide her husband's large tool box Christmas gift here. She had said, "Nothing earlier than June or July as it can still SNOW in PA in April." (That is my Sister and though we grew up in Iowa, NEITHER of us miss that much snow.) LOL! Her husband doesn't like to go on trips that much and he always prefers to drive, so when we go someplace, she wants to do ALL the driving. I happened to mention this trip I wanted to do months ago and she said it sounded like great fun and asked when we were going to do it? She also enjoys learning more about history, especially if she can poke fun at her brother while doing it. Years ago when I first dressed in a Philabeag and uniform of a Private Soldier of the Major's Coy, 42nd Royal Highland Regiment, she drove all the way from Richmond to Colonial Williamsburg just to see me "in a skirt." When she first saw me all dressed out, her comment was, "Your skirt is shorter than I ever wore one, when I still wore skirts." LOL. However, this time I probably will be doing my impression of a "Modern Tourist." Gus

[quote I'll bring coffee...[/quote]
I take mine black. I've never been to Fort Loudon, and it's less than 3 hours east of Fort Pitt. In honor of the Gallant Forty-twa I'll even bring a bottle of single malt. It would be a real pleasure to finally meet some of ye's.

Same offer of dinner and libations, of course. Gus
