My favorite hawg rifle. Vincent style .36 cal. Halfstock. And a little shoat I can pick up with one hand! Pork is a nice sweet meat!

You have good taste, in both rifles and pork. Spence Much obliged sir! I usually let the younger fellows shoot them big tush hogs. Then they can talk of the whistling arrows, the singing lead, and coup they was counted by all! I prefer the small ones they are delicious. And most of all easy to tote!

Being Im the only one around here (with the exception of two dogs and a whole herd of cats), I split that shoat down the middle and shared with the daughter and SIL. They like to have people over ay their little farm, So they can make good use of it!
Oldest son’s boys jumped a big pile of eatin’ size pigs on their place other evening looking for shed horns. Oldest grandson did manage to get one other night when I got the above pig. So if I know them two boys they will be down on the creek bottom next weekend trying to get another

I must say I'm both delighted and disappointed feral pigs are not in Montana (Yet?). They can be so destructive but a year-round meat opportunity...

I haven't came across any yet but I know that's just a matter of time.
When the time comes I'll certainly capitalize on the opportunity for wild bacon...
