I have a rifle coming in a (new to me) .40 caliber. Has anyone had experience with Larry Callahan molds?

I have one - will cast a nice ball and are solidly built. There is enough meat to do a little personalization. That said, the handles could use a little smoothing to break the sharp edges and the finish work could be improved, but these are purely cosmetic issues that don't affect the functionality in the slightest. I would buy another if I needed a different caliber.

His molds are the only way to go! I have four.
I'd recommend you find exactly what ball your rifle likes and then go from there. They are not cheap but are the ticket for reproduction loading.
Many have wasted time with the cheap TOTW molds, certainly don't go that route. Larry is an excellent man to do business with and a very knowledgeable builder and shooter as well.

Coot, I bought one of Callahan's molds because at the time, TOTW was out of stock of the one I wanted. I'm glad that happened! They're plain but well made and Larry himself is a colorful guy!!LOL The Sicilian
