I am calling this an English gentleman's knife. It features a 7" 1084 blade and peened-over through-tang with brass bolster and pommel cap on a turned cocobolo handle. The blade exhibits the typical mid-century Sheffield profile with slightly up-swept tip and full flat grind. Though English cutlers were known to use "exotic" African and South American hardwoods for knife handles (including trade knives), the through-tang, brass fittings, and hand-filed finish mark this as a higher grade piece than a trade knife. pic sharingAsking $150 shipped. Open to trades and offers.

Glad I'm not a gentleman otherwise I'd be tempted!
