I'm not sure anyone would have noticed this as I don't know if it made national news in any way, even in academic circles. The last colonial era home in what is now West Hartford, but was Hartford, CT. in the Colonial period, is being dismantled and moved to the Carolinas. In the walls a painting was found depicting a battle seen showing soldiers in red and orange coats, and natives with bows and arrows, painted on wall material behind plaster that was applied later. The "experts" seem to think it depicts a seen from the F&I war. I've included a cell phone photo of the article, hopefully those interested can expand it enough to read it. I used the front page to provide a date and to cover other articles oriented in the same direction as our article. Thoughts? Best regards, Dave

Thank you very much. That is the article, and the picture of the painting is much better than the one in the paper.

What's the sense (or lack there of) to move the house? Let it stay were we was, that's where it belongs.

Thank you very much. That is the article, and the picture of the painting is much better than the one in the paper. Yes it's true it's "better" on the online article, but if there was a "cyber crash", you wouldn't see it at all. As I like to say, the majority of the "old" methods and ways of life match or exceed alot of modern stuff.
