My wife and I live at the edge of a field, we have been seeing deer on occasion before the baling of the hay, however we have seen deer daily since the hay was baled. Once it cools down for the evening we go out for a walk, we have been sampling the black berries, but also noticed another possible attractant for the deer...crab apples. We have always had black berries and wild cherries along the edge of the woods, but the fence row that can be seen in the first picture has multiple crab apple trees. Something we didn't notice until this year, I suppose we always assumed they were dogwood trees when in bloom and never went closer to verify the species having simply admired their beauty from a distance. We are grateful for the berries, waiting on the cherries and hopeful the deer hang around until hunting season. T
