SH...no picture of the heel seam. That pair is worn out and I've been meaning to make another pair.
The heel seam looks very similar to the folded over and sewn down edges seen where the toes are in the photo. Or that's how I made mine since Diderot did not include a picture of a sewn one, only a pattern that could be used.

I used to make & use moccasin liners, but for the past 30 years I have not worn anything inside my moccasins, not even in winter. The mittens shown here I made many years ago, & they are still good. The cord tying them together runs through the sleeve of your outerwear so that you can drop one mitten to use your trigger finger & not lose the mitten. Keith.
