Does anyone bother to, and have a discreet way to, label their powder horn or flask with what is inside? I've been using 3f for everything for a long time, but recently came across and old bench flask that hasn't been used in so long that I'm not sure what is in it, it doesn't look like 3f Goex. I am also thinking of experimenting with 2f again for shot loads for squirrel hunting. I would like a sly, discreet way to label my horns so I can remember which has what powder in it.
Thanks.

I mark the contents on a piece of masking tape and keep it on the horn at all times at home. I take it off when I pick up the horn for an outing, put it back on when I return. Even at my age I've so far been able to remember what is in it while on the outing. Spence

"Even at my age I've so far been able to remember what is in it while on the outing. " - Spence Yup, no doubt. And in 30 years you will still be sharper than some of us.... But, I'm glad I'm not the only one to see a need for a way to remember what powder is in what horn.

I only ever use 2FG, for main charge & for priming as per original method. I do have some other grades left over from years past, but a sprinkle in the hand & I can tell what grade it is by sight. Keith.
