I am a fan of belt bags, and I enjoy making my own, as with most things in the hobby. I like to carry my fire kit in belt bags, and when hunting it comes in handy to carry tags, calls, and any other small items, I just finished this one, and it measures about 6 1/2 inches wide by 4 inches deep, I put a pewter button for a closure, and a broadcloth trim on the flap, most of the visible sewing on the leather was done with sinew from a deer taken last year by myself, I added a ticking lining to the inside of the flap.

WELL DONE!! The pillow ticking is a nice touch and in a desperate moment could become emergency patch/char cloth material!!

I'd suggest a decorative leather edge at the top of the opening... Looks to be a handy size and nicely made.
