I've been toying with the realization of modernization (obviously in a historic manner) for my 18th century camp. Given the popularity of my coffee endeavors I've decided there are indeed a few good events out and about that I must attend to exploit my efforts to a more vibrant base of individuals. One important piece of kit I've wanted to produce has been a table of sorts for displaying my avaliable coffee inventory for sale and other items. I settled on a particular piece from an image that I acquired. The particular table in question was said to have been called a "Washington campaign table". I cannot nail down any authentication for the piece being tied to Washington himself but have uncovered other small snippets here and there from the period. Regardless I decided to reproduce the table from solid red oak, all milled from grandfather's woods. Very simple design and very sturdy. Wish I had enough leftover wood to produce another, turned our very well for essentially "winging it". I made a mistake in placing the horizontal member that would have held the table in it's open fixed position, yet it's a mistake I can live with.
