Brokennock said, "Much of what you say/write is worth repeating." Now you've put me in a quandary, nock. In the world I grew up in and spent most of my life in I would say 'thank you for the kind words'. In today's world, though, I suppose I should say, 'alright, what do you want?' Decisions, decisions. Spence Lol. Stick with the world you grew up in. There is less and less good in and about today's world. What do I want? Keep slapping me in the head with your quotes and morsels from your archives. Slap me with then hard enough and often enough, some if it may penetrate this thick skull.

Out of curiosity - do you have the little cog-wheel icon to the upper right of the post? As a Moderator, I can delete a post via that drop-down. Not certain if it works the same for members.

Yes, I do, and I just tried it. It works. Excellent. Thanks.

Any idea what Romats and Romals are? Indian handkerchiefs. Could be silk or cotton.

Somewhat off topic question, still about period clothing. How long does it take you to make an entire new outfit? Such as the native outfit you recently posted on Instagram for that event in Florida?

I made 4 of those for my brother and myself in about a month, including my wife's 1830s day dress, but they're pretty easy. An 18th c suit of clothes can be done in a week with enough hours put in.

Wow! I'm assuming, "a week," of full days. I look at the outfits you make, for yourself and your wife, and can't see how you have time for anything else. Especially as I get the impression, aided by assumption based on your posts here and elsewhere, that when you make a suit of clothes for yourself, someone else, or a dress and accessories for your wife, that you are making them to the quality standard if the period. You are not just whipping together a "costume," that only needs to last for a performance.....
