Not sure if folks are aware, and I don't want this to get too political (I strongly see this as a bipartisan issue) But there is an attempt being made to repeal the Pittman Robertson Act. It is called the Return Act.
I admit I have not read the whole thing yet.
Pittman Roberston excise taxes pay for a lot of conservation efforts and have gained the entire public a lot of protected property for the wildlife we all love to thrive on. Regardless of whether or not one hunts or fishes, I can't see how taking away these funds is a good thing.
