Wow!!! That looks great. Thank you for sharing. Is there an itinerary at an event like this? What does an eversge day consist of? Thanks again.

Wow!!! That looks great. Thank you for sharing. Is there an itinerary at an event like this? What does an eversge day consist of? Thanks again. Nock, The fort has 3 or 4 major events each year (market faire, Black Boys' Rebellion, historical timeline event, etc.) and a number of smaller living history weekends like this one during which our unit (or a guest unit/units) occupy the fort. In the latter, sometimes it is unit training (we practiced drill this weekend), scouts, period construction and fort maintenance projects, and just daily garrison life. These are open to the public to wander through and observe, ask questions, etc. during working hours. As such, the agenda varies from event to event depending on weather, unit desires, etc. This weekend, in addition to drill, we were planning some live fire shooting at marks and a woods walk, but it rained Sunday, so that portion was post-poned, unfortunately.

Looks pitiful, such a terrible time this must have been! Bet everyone was so upset over having to be there! 😆
Absolutely splendid, I can smell that woodsmoke and feel the air and ambiance. Beautiful!

Great pics of a great period place to play and sleep. I can just see some 18th century military contractor saying, "For the finest in firm, yet resilient bedding support for the troops, we present our offering of Pine Cross Boards in our bunk beds..." Gus
