Well, after a long while absent, I’ve finally returned; of course I’m sure my absence was noted by few. I see that Keith just published a link to a Jon Parmenter article on the Iroquois after the Mourning Wars (or Beaver Wars). I have recently written a sort of “prequel “ to that work, focusing on the Iroquois during the Beaver Wars. This paper is unpublished, simply a grad school course paper, but I thought someone might like it. www.dropbox.com/s/gmqg5a9y83xo6it/Iroquois%20Final%20Draft.pdf?dl=0All but the coda ends in 1701, but it technically involves the 18th century, so caveat emptor. Please let me know what you think.

As light as the traffic is on our little forum you can not post for 6 months and nobody would notice. However, if you say you've been gone, welcome back. A very interesting paper, and quite educational. I certainly can't speak to the accuracy of the facts, but the paper is well written and makes a persuasive argument. Thanks for posting. Spence

Spence Thanks Spence! As to the accuracy, I’ve done my best. There are times with any material concerning First Peoples where it all depends on which authority or source you believe, but I’ve tried consistently to document my sources for the reader.
