Tongue was delicious. Served sliced and eaten alone or with crackers or bread. Alternately, it was sliced and crisped in butter then served on bread with some spicy brown mustard.

Looks great my friend. Is the tongue beef or buffalo?
Are there many young people coming through in the re-enacting/rendezvous space?

Tongue was beef - haven't found a good source for buffalo.
There was a good collection of young people approximately 4-15 years of age. I'd estimate a good dozen to 20...

Saturday night weather was a bit dodgy - rain, 70mph winds and a tornado watch (confirmed touchdown a couple towns over). Storm front coming in from the west visible before we ended up in the basement of the fort house. Minimal damage to property and no one was hurt.  |
