Went Saturday and came home Sunday - ends this upcoming Sunday (6/29). Not much was happening yet, but it was nice to get away and spend time with friends.

Looks like a great camping spot and place to spend a little time. Any trout in that stream?

Yes - that is the Bitterroot River. I've seen all few fish come out and good-sized too (12" or so).
Beautiful property - private ranch, also where we hold the Boy Scout Rendezvous each year.
You wouldn't know that we are a couple hundred yards from the highway. On rare occasions you can hear a car or see lights through the trees.

They had a whisky tent - the keg you see contained rum. It's twin contained a brown ale brewed by one of the guys - aged in a Bourbon keg and was delicious. The shrub (9 varieties) don't arrive til mid week.

Do you and your friends do these types of camps in hunting season? It’d be a great experience to have the butchering, hide working etc. at a rendezvous.

They are butchering a Bison on-site on Thursday. The meat will be auctioned and suspect some will be used during the community feed Thursday night. Maybe boudains...?
We do hunting camps in a primitive setting and sometimes even hunt. No time to do anything else during hunting season. There usually are demonstrations during events such as this.

Lewis and Clark went through the Bitterroots. Beautiful country out that way. Is the location close to the trail?

This location is about 25-30 miles south of Traveler's Rest and Lolo pass where the expedition went through.
