Anyone else carry a sewing kit? This has served me well for many years, repairing clothing, repairing my oilcloth, & using the needles for digging out splinters. Keith.

I carry one if my outing is to be more than a day-jaunt, but much less elaborate. A few needles, some sinew and some hanks of flax/linen thread in a stoppered section of cane, scissors and an awl comprise the main kit, with pieces of deerskin, etc., as appropriate. Spence
