I just found my first patch of Ghost pipe(monotropa uniflora) and was wondering did (if any) the mid 18th century woodland indians know or use this plant. I've heard that it is kinda rare know, I dont know about then tho. To be able to use it as a Nervine, you'd have to make it into a tincture first. I dont know if the woodland indians knew about that process or not. Heres a picture, sorry when I was in the woods earlier I didnt think to take a picture of the patch, so heres a single one. Its also known to be more powerful than willow or aspren, as used as a painkiller. NWT Woodsman
