Very nice, Keith, thanks. You have nice friends. Do you have a date for it? Spence Can't find a lot of information on this one, maker of military & sporting guns. Marson, Samuel & Company Manufacturer of military and sporting arms in Birmingham, England, c.1840. JOHN MARSON. Deception: forgery, Deception: fraud. 8th April 1850 Reference Number t18500408-741 Verdicts Not Guilty > unknown; Not Guilty > no evidence Apparently Marson was payed for gun work with a forged note, which he then used to pay someone else I was therefore suspected of forgery. He was found not guilty. An interesting group of original catalogues and documents relating to Samuel Marson gun maker of Birmingham. This lot consists of a small catalogue for the Spanish market with Spanish text. 16 pages (missing page 10/11) a blank letterhead for Samuel Marson a letter from BSA to Marson dated 1906 an incomplete South African price list of Marson guns 4 x four page booklets of Marson guns. Keith.
