18th century Sash heddle - Winnebago (Ho-Chunk) Wood & Brass tacks, 12x9x2.5cm Is this used for finger weaving? All I used was a stick & I am wondering how this "heddle" was used? Thanks for posting. Keith.

Sorry - 19th century Heddle. Very much doubt an 18th century version would any different in function.

Thanks mate, that is what confused me. I have done loom weaving & finger weaving. So this would have been used to loom weave a sash, that makes more sense. Good information for those looking for info on loom woven sashes in the period. Keith.
