My boys and I at Ft Dobbs for the anniversary of a battle with Cherokee. Great family outing to Ft Dobbs historic site, French and Indian War era fort. On February 27, 1760, the garrison of Fort Dobbs engaged in a bloody, confusing, night-time skirmish with Cherokee warriors. This weekend was the anniversary of the battle. This reconstructed Fort and historic site has only been open for about two years but the interpreters here are real knowledgeable and dedicated folks so I recommend a visit if you’re ever in western North Carolina. ibb.co/tPQDgJy

I thought you would be at this event so I was actually asking for you. My family and I don’t really have a kit up to snuff yet so we just visited for a couple hours but I hope to have our act together in time to make the war for empire event. We met some super nice and helpful people.

I tried to post a picture but it didn’t work. See the sticky about posting pictures at the top of each subforum. You need to use a photo hosting site.

April. 3rd is "school day" for local students to come see demos. Sat & Sun (4th & 5th) are "public days". We will be set up for all three.
