Hand, Appreciate the sentiment!! NM has fallen into the realm of the stupid as many other cities across our country. One of the facilities I take care of has become a Testing/triage site for ABQ. Interestingly surreal!! LOL Stay safe, sane and Alert all.

The Governor shut the schools yesterday until March 27th. We have a few cases statewide, but none in our county...
A little gallows humor: the elderly uncle announced the other day that he will be going to Bingo at the Senior Center this week. Good thing he doesn't drive...

Thanks Black Hand. You need to stay well too.
The hospital I work for has NO visitor policy being enforced, funny how they never enforced the old visitor policy.
We are running a "mobile testing center," where people can call their dr. and get an order for the test, drive up, and get tested without getting out of their car, then go home and await the results.
The smartest thing they have done is suspend the attendance policy temporarily. Ours is ridiculously strict to begin with, now with this thing, and kids being kept home,,,, 3 call outside a year would result in most of the staff being fired before this whole thing is over.
Please, everyone, stay healthy, wash your hands, wear gloves when you can to open public doors, handle money, etc. Of you wear a mask (it really won't help and could hurt) wash your hands before putting it on, and, before and after taking it off.

Everyone still okay?
Anyone here have personal knowledge of anyone with the virus yet? I'm not including the patients of those of us in health care. Anyone with a friend or family member who has a confirmed case? (Praying none of our little band has or gets it)

Anyone with a friend or family member who has a confirmed case? (Praying none of our little band has or gets it) Nock, Last count was 23 in NM only a handful in my county. All large capacity venues forcibly shut down, heard booze sales will be restricted soon, not a round of any ammo to be had in the city and most shelves are empty of the aforementioned items. No cases of the virus in my family. Stay Alert Friends UPDATE: I stand corrected, 15 cases total in my county

12 confirmed cases in MT, but none in our county. Waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop is the most frustrating...
Everyone I know is healthy thus far.

Nothing has been reported in the nearest small city here, but one of my sons has to go to Sydney for a conference, it should have been cancelled! Anyway he returns today, & hopefully he will isolate himself in his cottage. He should not have gone.

I'd like it if people behaved less selfishly and more prudently. Think of the longterm ramifications for your actions.
As the Italians say "uomo avvisato e mezzo salvato..." - the man who has been warned is half saved.

I can't wait till some decency and normality return for us all. I pray everyone is well and safe. Decency within our little group was and is rarely lacking. Decency in the rest of society has been gone a long, long, time. Please be careful everyone. I know the hospital I work for is very illprepared for this. Not enough PPE for the staff, budget cuts have patient to staff ratios at unsafe levels without this virus, a top heavy organization has communication of protocol (and decisions on protocol) lacking at best. You don't want to be in a hospital right now (ever?) if you can at all avoid it. Stay home. If you have to go out in public, remember, the number one way for this to get to you is from your hands, not the air (unless someone with it coughs or sneezes in your airspace).

We now have 3 reported positives - all 3 likely acquired the illness while traveling internationally and are being quarantined. No community-acquired cases thus far. However, some people are still behaving stupidly... Those numbers will grow. Unfortunately. Rate of infection will grow more slowly places like yours, but, the cases will increase. Our numbers are growing rapidly. Some of that is due to increased testing. Some is due to people with no symptoms spreading it communally, and some is travel. Our highest numbers in the state are still the counties closest to New York. Darn Yorkers....
