"So there I was being injected, infected, and neglected."
Yup, short sighted administration policies leave many healthcare workers exposed to getting Covid-19 from each other. I am now officially on the, "you have been exposed to a colleague who has tested positive for Covid-19," as of late last week. As of yesterday, I have a slight, dry, tight cough occasionally, and an increasing stiffness and pain in my neck and shoulders. The coworker spent the week prior to getting really sick complaining of neck and shoulder soreness.
Anyone else have it yet?
Bless you all. Stay safe, Dave

One of my sons is an essential services worker, & he has just been told that another staff member is infected & failed to tell anyone!!! My son has been quarantined in a hotel in the city. He could have quarantined here, but he decided that free internet & food in a hotel room was a better choice Follow the rules everyone, it is the best we have going for us at present. Keith.

Brother I hear you on those fronts. With a wifey working shifts in ICU and our unit supporting COVID transfer missions it's all around.
I'm not a betting man but I'd bet I had it back in early February as I haven't been that ill, well never and also tested negative for the flu but had all the respiratory crap to accompany. It was absolutely horrible and lasted about three weeks. Keep your mental health up, spirits high and faith on. Drink lots of fluids for sure. No need to preach as you know what to do but certainly rest and restore yourself. Thank the lord my wife and kids have been safe given the situation and I pray it continues that way and certainly for you!!! Reach out if anything is needed!

Your son also made the choice to not risk infecting his dad and mom. Good man.

Sorry to hear Dave. Take good care of yourself! We're all here for you. I'm hoping they tested you - not knowing can be the worst part.
As of last night, the county was still at 11 cases, all of which are under quarantine and observation. No community spread so far like the county 100+ miles south of us with 119 cases (though the rate has slowed somewhat in the last few days).

I'm really tired of some people behaving stupidly and putting others at risk...

Thanks Black Hand. I'm in line at the drive through test facility now. Been here over am hour and they don't start for another hour. I'm third in line for the employee line. The line for non employees extends for several blocks and starts building each morning around 05:00. Not all of those people will get tested.
I don't really see the point, other than the all important numbers/stats racquet, to getting tested. It is pretty obvious given the circumstances that I have it, and, there isn't any treatment available when the test comes back positive anyway. Not to mention that the accuracy rate for the test is low.
I truly appreciate everyone's well wishes and prayers.

Nock, Being in the medical field, you well know nothing is a guarantee - I'd wait for results. The test does seem relatively reliable, though you might get a false negative every so often depending on when a sample was taken in the initial period. I will need to look into what format is used for the test...

Since you are in the healthcare field I'm sure you don't need any incentive to take all measures to protect those around you, test or not. That's very likely not true for the average person without your understanding. They might be much more inclined to do a hard isolation if they had a positive test rather than only a presumption of contagion based on symptoms.

I had not heard that. If you find something specific, please post. I will see what I can find.
