Any chance of adding a "New Member Introductions" forum, anyone else think this would be a good idea? Keith.

Keith, I have urged most new members by PM to introduce themselves in the tavern. To date, I don't recall one doing this. Devoting an entire subforum to new member introductions seems futile...
That said, I am willing to consider this if there is sufficient support from the group. Albert

Upon reviewing the 5 pages of tavern posts, there were 2 new members that introduced themselves.

I remember looking for an introduction forum, but there wasn't one so I did not introduce myself.
My typical welcome to new members on my forum is: Welcome to this forum Jo Blogs, please introduce yourself on the forum at "New Member Introductions". Thank you. Regards, Keith.
To date, I don't think anyone has failed to introduce themselves. Keith.

When I extend an invitation to join us here, with a link, I encourage the person to come post here in, "The Tavern," and let us know they are here. If people aren't doing that anyway, I don't think an introduction subforum would help. Maybe if some of our core players submitted some type of bio and they are posted as a "sticky" in a new introductions subforum, it might encourage people to add to the subforum.

As soon as I saw this post I was attracted to it. I also understand Black Hand’s position. However, many of us may be using mobile devises to read & post. I’ve noticed it’s easier to overlook some things on mobile screens. When I use my laptop computer I see/notice a lot more of the finer details, if this makes sense.
A separate thread or something of the nature shouldn’t be necessary but it may be practical. I likely would have noticed it faster when using my mobile...so now having said that, I guess it would be decent of me to re-enter the tavern & introduce myself self right & proper before asking our brothers to share their wisdom with me...hahahahaha :-)
