As if things weren't pregnant with bad news already during these trying times, I just read on the Book o'Face that the HistoricalTrekking.com site will be going down after all these years.
I think of all the experiential knowledge that will be lost by folks who have been doing this experimental archeologiy for so long!
I'm hoping some tech savvy dude will think to archive all the forums.
In the meantime, I hope y'all will continue to support struggling neophytes like myself.

All things run their time and people get tired. Maybe someone will volunteer to take over and run the forum?

All things run their time and people get tired. Maybe someone will volunteer to take over and run the forum? We know I'm a computer/internet duffer. I know how to do certain things by rote and that's it. Enough to get by, not enough to get ahead. So, in leu of the fact I don't know what I'm doing, is there a way to create an internet archive of the site's information? Without having to copy and paste every topic and reply?

Mine too, and I'm sure beyond my technical ability. I can't help but think of the old, Muzzleloading Life, forum, and all the good info lost when that went away. There was a lot if good info shared there, a good bit of b.s. too, but I knew nothing at the time of copy and paste to save good posts, I thought what winds up on the web is forever.
