I can find numerous tutorials on finger weaving basics and techniques on the internet, but, none of them seem to answer this basic question. How much length loss should one plan on? I'm sure it is somewhat dependent on material used and how tight one weaves, but is there a basic rule of thumb so one doesn't end up too short?

Nock, Not sure which tutorials you watched or read but I don’t remember any mentioning length loss in material and most I recall were for tumplines so that may represent a finite ( or somewhat) distance... Wish I was more help...
