What time is the rendezvous? I'll bring the first bottle of Rum... This is one nice place to have such a historically correct gathering. The trail head for many, many miles of secluded eastern woodlands starts at the top of the rock face. Love my woodlands! 2012 genesis 5.0 r spec 0 60Old growth pines, view from the fire tower... love it.

State property? Is camping okay? Maybe by special permit for a small reenactment group?

State property? Is camping okay? Maybe by special permit for a small reenactment group? Yes to all the above. The state has always been good with me when they know your intent.

Pick a date with sufficient lead time and let's start planning!

Boy ole boy... This spot sure does look familiar. Ash cave, hours drive from were I live and an absolutely gorgeous place to be. Lots of history with the area. A few years ago some other native friends of mine set our drum up in the center of the bowl area and drummed away. The tone and sound was like thunder and just beautiful. Like to think many ancestors would be proud! Excellent image, thanks for sharing my friend. I would say by the looks of it my friend you have hit the nail on the head. Looks the same place to me. Keith.
