I wanted to ask if anyone else had read this particular book?
I finally got a chance to dive in... WOW! I'm so impressed with this book, absolutely captivating! Track a copy down, call the library! Just get your paws on a copy!

Hawkeyes, you might enjoy this photo. If memory serves, it is John Curry when he was featured on the cover of Muzzleloader magazine. I don't recall the date. I met Curry at a small local BP event in central Kentucky a long time ago. Spence

His personal explanation as to the why he's embarks on his endeavors the way he does is exactly how I've always tried to convey/ express my personal experiences. Compiling so said words and thoughts verus how I want them to come out at times have issues aligning. Mr. Curry does a wonderful job simplifying and expressing those thoughts that I and many can potentially connect with. Wonderful book, worth tracking down!

The only real reason I even joined the NMLRA was for his column.

Judging by his composition in this book I can imagine those articles to be worthwhile and valuable. How he describes the "modern scene" of sorts in the hobby is amazing in my opinion. I've read many books and this one has just spoken to me on a level no others have.

Just get your paws on a copy! Hawk, I have signed copies of both volumes. I got them for a song and COMPLETELY by accident. Excellent reading!!! Extremely difficult to get hold of other copies as he was self-published. I contact Captain Curry on and off through Facebook. He is still quite the source!!! If you join the NMLRA you can get access to all of his articles in Muzzleblasts although to my knowledge he no longer writes for them
