Happy New Year!!! This site was recommended to me by a couple of members Mr. brokennock and Mr. hawkeyes . About a year ago I joined a forum to learn more about appropriate gear/equipment to go along with my then just ordered TVM flintlock. A fella by the name of Notchy Bob introduced me to My now Mentor Mr. einsiedler and it has been a ride and one heck of a learning experience! Like I told Brokennock, Mr. Einsiedler had his work cut out for him, I was so "Farbaliciouse", complete with hippie boots!!! It probably looked hopeless! Things are moving along now, still working on my Kit a bit and from what I understand, you're never done there is always something but I am in decent shape thanks to a few good peeps, those already mentioned and Mr. artificer , Mr. Andy52 and a Mr. Ames. Looking forward to learning more about this great Hobby! My main focus is the first 3rd of the 19th century, My people migrated to Texas during the early days of colonization. My persona is that of a surveyor during that time. In that capacity, I am employed by the infamous Engineering & Survey Co. "Statler & Waldorf". As of late we have been working out of San Felipe de Austin, the Austin Colony. RM
