For colonial America, 1755 to 1770s wanderer, woods bum, former captive of natives, scout/guide,,,, work in progress. New England to the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania. Mom's family has been here since N.Y. was New Amsterdam. Mostly ended up settled in the Berkshire hills of the N.Y./Western Massachusetts line up through New Hampshire. Need to do more research on their lives during this period.
Heavy reading and studies on the subject of the Rhodesian bush war. Their history and fall, the aftermath of that fall.
And also a lot of reading and podcast listening that crosses paths with Paranger. MACV-SOG activities in Laos and Cambodia. Had friends growing up who's families escaped both places. Other friends who's dads were involved on our side of things.

The persona I've developed is based around a real person whom I researched in the Pensions records. A 1780's militiaman and scout during the Southern Campaign, born in Madrid Spain but moved to the Carolinas at a young age.  |
